Greetings Friends,
Earlier this month on a trip to Florida I did some wood buying, acquiring among other things some gorgeous coco-bolo (which by now I have to admit is my all time favorite wood). I intended to use the wood in January to prepare for some spring shows, but the appeal of one heavy block of this central american rosewood dragged me out to my shop to begin using it at once. Below are the results, and I've put up this page so that someone who wants to give a special gift could do so by acting immediately. I'm sorry the timing is so close but I couldn't help it. The color and grain of this wood are spectacular, and by the way the darker wood in the lids is also coco-bolo, probably from a different part of Central America. That degree of variation in color is one of the things I really like about this wood. I hope you enjoy seeing it.
